BHRS expert meets with Supreme Court representatives

On 1 July 2025, Daina Celma, Senior Researcher at the Baltic Human Rights Society, met with judges and staff of the Supreme Court Senate's Department of Administrative Cases. The discussion focused on the experience of the European Court of Human Rights in optimising court work and improving writing efficiency.

Senior researcher Daina Celma is part of the FRANET team in Latvia, which provides independent expertise to the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights on the human rights situation in Latvia, including the optimisation of the judiciary and justice system through digitalisation. Before joining BHRS, Daina Celma worked for many years as a lawyer at the European Court of Human Rights.

Experts from the Baltic Human Rights Society regularly meet with representatives of public administration institutions, national courts, and other non-governmental organisations, as well as participate in discussions and conferences to promote understanding and effective application of human rights.
