Executive director of BHRS elected to the Board of the DARE Europe network

The General Assembly of the Democracy and Human Rights Education Network in Europe (DARE) took place in Berlin on 27 and 28 August. BHRS was represented by its Executive Director, Ms. Agnese Koligina-Balode and leading researcher, Ms. Arina Melse. 

The DARE network unites 40 European non-governmental organizations in the area of democracy and human rights education. Its members meet once a year in order to jointly evaluate the activities that have been implemented and discuss the DARE network strategy in promoting democracy and human rights education. The DARE Board is re-elected every three years and for the next period BHRS Executive Director Ms. Agnese Koligina-Balode will represent the DARE Network as vice-president.

The DARE network forms a European platform for the support of education on human rights and education on democratic citizenship. It facilitates the collaboration of practitioners and policy makers in this area. The DARE network strives to obtain support, visibility and access to adequate resources for the future of education on democracy and human rights in Europe on behalf of its member organizations.
