Seminar-Quiz “Human Rights Race” - Guide at the Civil Society Development Forum in Kyiv

On December 5, 2024, the Kyiv Human Rights Hub hosted an innovative and engaging event, the seminar-quiz “Human Rights Race”, as part of the XIII Civil Society Development Forum, Ukraine's premier gathering for NGOs. Held at Mystetskiy Arsenal, the event brought together participants, including NGO representatives and youth, to explore the Human Rights Guide and its practical applications in promoting human rights advocacy.

The seminar-quiz utilized gamification to make learning about human rights both engaging and impactful. Facilitator and game practitioner Uliana Kashepa collaborated with our partners Center for Civil Liberties to design a dynamic quiz based on topics covered in the Human Rights Guide. Participants competed in a friendly atmosphere, which kept their attention and fostered meaningful interaction.

Adding depth to the session, Yevgeniya Kubakh, Executive Director of the Kyiv Human Rights Hub, delivered an introduction to the Human Rights Guide. Her presentation traced the Guide's development, explained its core features, and provided practical examples of how it can be utilized in daily advocacy efforts.

An Informational Point dedicated to the Human Rights Guide was set up at the event, offering a chance for the broader Forum audience to learn more about the Guide. Over 2,000 flyers featuring a QR code linking directly to the Guide were distributed, ensuring easy access to its content for participants and attendees.

We are thrilled with the success of this event and grateful to everyone who participated and supported our efforts. The Ukrainian Guide received many user visits after the event, with pages 'What are the main human rights documents?', ‘Types of discrimination’ and ‘Freedom of expression’ being among the most popular.
